Comments:

We looked at a large treated black diamond for this ring but found the flaws far too visible for both the customer and myself. As an alternative we used an almost as durable black sapphire. This turned out a much cleaner option for the gem.

The number of diamonds and the colours used create symbolic groups for the customer in the design.
