More and more Moissanite

Oval Moissanite with shoulder diamonds.
Along with grown diamonds, Moissanite is more and more an alternative to mined diamonds that I am being asked to supply.
One of the advantages of mined diamonds is that you have a large range of sizes in accent (smaller additional gems) gems to choose from. This customer desired a certain size for the shoulder gems that was not available in Moissanite.
In the end we used mined diamonds which were more readily available. I say readily because it took me too attempts to source a good pair .
Low side profile of the ring.
The wearer of this ring works in health and wanted the ring to be as low as possible. The culet (In gemology, a culet is a flat face on the bottom of a gemstone) of the oval moissanite is just over the finger. This is as low as we could make the ring.

The leading brand in Moissanite.
With Moissanite the leading brand is Charles and Colvard. There are a few others that are less expensive but still of a very high quality.
There are also many moissanite gems coming out of China described as “crushed ice” moissanite which is amongst the cheapest and lowest quality moissanite available.
