Same day/spot - 4 different photos in 4 hours
17th August 2021
These photos are part of my nearly finished 50 photos of the same spot. This day I got no spectacular photos but 4 okay ones and some ideas for the future. When I arrived the sun was very bright but the clouds were extremely promising. Oh how that would change!
An hour later at sunset and the clouds that were there to fill the sky with colour and reflect the same back onto the water top are all but gone. What could have been :(
10 minutes later and the sun has well and truly dropped and almost all the clouds have vanished. I still managed to get a bit of colour in the sky.
No clouds in the sky means good weather for astro photography which is something I need to practise. The moon was about half so that meant that I would get some very nice moon light illuminating the Gorge once the sun had set.
I decided to turn this photo black and white which like astro photography I do not do that often. I could have stuck around for those stars to pop more as we got further away from sunset and perhaps also get part of the milky way but I really just wanted to practise. I will head back here on another day to see if I can get a nice astro shot.
