You may notice that there are quite a few chips on the sapphire. When the gem was first brought to me in 2018 to be remodelled I pointed this out to the customer as she was unaware of the damage. An important part of recycling jewellery is the unsetting and inspection. This gem is featured in this article.

Back in 2018 the design we worked on in the end was cancelled. Fast forward to a year later and after a bit more thought and design work, the customer and myself came up with this design which she loves.
